You Say Goodbye, I Say Hello (Hello, Hello)

After a year and a 1 / 2 of (virtually) working I find it bittersweet to say that this is my last blog post with you, our followers. Today is my last day at USC. Sharing my voice through your blog has been this type of fun learning experience. I had been in a position to discover a passion for internet development and user design/experience, and I have always been excited to say that i am shifting to keep employed in that industry!
i’m forever grateful for the time i have invested at USC and I also can’t state enough about my individual and professional development while i have been right here. The individuals whom work here are GREAT at whatever they do; you are in good fingers. It’s specially inspiring to operate every alongside colleagues who truly care about this work day. They have been peers, but I am honored to also phone them friends.
Finally, it couldn’t be described as a blog post without my typical list. Below are the top 3 things I discovered throughout my two and a years that are half USC.

Do not Stop Learning
For every body who’re going to begin with college, the next four years will likely be the time that is last your lifetime that the work is to discover. Learning is exactly what you shall be doing 24/7. Carry this spirit of learning with you once you’ve graduated and approach every single day knowing that there is constantly more to master.

Free Food rocks !
In reality, this is spending plan advice. I’ve discovered that I invest the most cash on food each month so i usually simply take benefit of free food. I made the blunder of taking too long to find out how exactly to monitor my money. Like John Maxwell stated, ‘Tell your hard earned money where you can get alternatively of wondering where it went.’

Diversity Rules
I really like my workplace for many and varied reasons; one of them is due to the many backgrounds of my colleagues. There exists an operating joke within the workplace we are (and we dress ON POINT) that we sometimes look like a United Colors of Benetton ad because of how diverse. But in all seriousness, being around my colleagues has caused me to understand more about other peoples’ experiences and perspectives. Discover to appreciate the advantages of diversity. You’ll be an improved leader, community member, employee, employer, and human being.

Well, that’s it for me personally. To my students from Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Davis and the state of Washington, I shall dearly miss you during travel season. It is truly been a pleasure serving every body and in the words of Ron Burgundy, ‘Stay classy and thanks for stopping by.’

I now hand you off to your brand new writer and my colleague, the hostest because of the mostest, Sam Schreiber.

Hey everyone else!My name is Sam and i’m so excited to be joining the USC Admission we we Blog! I have been working at work for nearly four years now while having worked with Houston, Austin royal vegas claim bonus, San Antonio therefore the main coast of Ca since We began. I am from SoCal and attended Calabasas senior school before going to Nashville, TN for university. At Vanderbilt, we double majored in Spanish and psychology and then came back to Los Angeles and did a masters in social work here at USC.

I happened to be really tangled up in the admission office at Vandy (that is what the cool kids call it, we vow), and dabbled in graduate school as well, so pursuing college admissions as a profession ended up being constantly on my mind. In addition to having the capability to try out a part in advanced schooling with a group that is great of, I really like dealing with prospective and present pupils. My concept is I stopped growing up at around age 16, however it is also feasible kids these times are just super cool.

I really hope to bring a reputable and authentic perspective towards the admission blog and assist people see that your particular admission counselors are really just as you, whoever you are. I’ve no question that whatever topics I cover you will have individual anecdotes thrown in there (and probably cat pictures) but also hope to provide insight into just what is a very human being process.
